zabbix_server: str.c:271: zbx_strcpy_alloc: Assertion `src' failed.

After a problem with the tables history and history_log and solving them with mysqlcheck --databases databasename --auto-repair, I receive the error each time I start the zabbix server and the serverprocesses are all killed.

Looked into the forum and internet but nothing usefull found.

Upgraded from 1.8.8 to 1.8.9, problem still exists.

Anyone any suggestions!!

In the server log it shows following information:

One child process died (PID:24802,exitcode/signal:6). Exiting ...

The corresponding process is:

24802:20111205:110531.557 server #77 started [history syncer #4]

Looking through the logs it is always the history syncer process that died.

Maybe this helps to trigger the problem.

I solved this problem by creating a new database and ex/importing all settings, hosts, templates, etc.
